Summary
Assembler I employees perform basic assembly tasks under direct supervision. This role focuses on learning production processes, developing foundational technical skills, and supporting higher-level assemblers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform entry-level assembly of components and parts using provided instructions, drawings, and schematics
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Inspect own work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Assist in material handling, staging, and organization of parts
- Document production activities as required
- Seek guidance and support while developing proficiency in core assembly skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical concepts
- Ability to read simple drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback
