About this role
Job Title: Account Executive, New Business – Payer
Job Summary: RevSpring is seeking a highly motivated, consultative, and results-driven Account Executive, New Business – Payer to join our health plan commercial team as a new logo hunter. This individual will own a named-account territory across the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast, and will be accountable for net-new pipeline generation and closed-won revenue from new payer logos within their assigned territory, leveraging RevSpring's broad enterprise capabilities across the payer market to land new clients and expand within them over time.
The ideal candidate is a proven hunter who brings a deep understanding of the U.S. payer landscape, value-based care dynamics, and healthcare reimbursement processes, along with a track record of building executive relationships from scratch and consistently closing net-new business against quota.
Essential Functions:
- Prospect, identify, and qualify net-new payer (health plan) opportunities within your assigned named-account territory (Midwest, East Coast, Southeast).
- Build and execute a territory and account-based prospecting plan, combining outbound outreach, referrals, partner channels, and industry events, to build and sustain a healthy new-logo pipeline.
- Lead the full new-business sales cycle — from first outreach through discovery, solution positioning, proposal, negotiation, and contract close — for net-new payer clients.
- Develop and deliver consultative, executive-level presentations that articulate RevSpring's value proposition and ROI to C-suite and VP-level prospects.
- Leverage RevSpring's broad, enterprise capabilities across the payer market to design compelling land-and-expand strategies, positioning new logos for long-term account growth beyond the initial sale.
- Partner with Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and Business Development (BDR) to build and progress a qualified pipeline sufficient to meet or exceed quota.
- Maintain accurate, timely pipeline, forecast, and activity data in Salesforce to support territory planning and revenue forecasting.
- Stay well-versed in industry trends, competitive dynamics, M&A activity, and regulatory changes to effectively position RevSpring in new-logo pursuits.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and Product/Delivery to structure and close deals that set new clients up for a smooth implementation and long-term partnership.
- Represent RevSpring at industry conferences and events to build brand awareness and generate new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Provide accurate weekly/monthly pipeline updates and revenue forecasts to sales leadership.
Minimum Requirements:

- Strong consultative and solution-selling skills; ability to align RevSpring's offerings to a prospect's strategic priorities and operational goals.
- Comfortable navigating long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles common to the payer market.
- Disciplined use of CRM (Salesforce) for pipeline management, forecasting, and territory planning.
