Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative drives business growth and client satisfaction within the multifamily housing sector to achieve operational excellence in Revenue Generation, Project Specification, Pipeline Efficiency, and Account Retention. By ensuring that developers, general contractors, and architects receive tailored cabinet product solutions and accurate project estimates, the Sales Representative eliminates friction in the procurement process, maintains a smooth pipeline from design to delivery, and supports on-time construction schedules through active participation in strategic sales initiatives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategically bids and closes multi-family cabinet sales for projects of all sizes.

Demonstrates knowledge of Republic Elite Cabinet products and processes and is comfortable making presentations to customers.

Recognizes and understands regional marketplace variations.

Maintains accurate and thorough documentation to support the sales process.

Understands and uses strategic pricing and discounting strategies to maximize sales and profits.

Negotiate with customers to close sales, neutralize buying objections and navigate project changes.

Reviews of contract documents for accuracy.

Able to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Available to travel occasionally, including infrequent overnight trips.

Convert new opportunities into sold jobs and new customers.

Work cross-functionally with all areas, including Finance, Accounting, Contracts, Installation, and Supply Chain

Resolve customer complaints regarding services, products, and personnel.

Teamwork: Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization

Qualifications – Required:

2+ years of proven experience as a sales representative or in a similar sales or customer service role.

Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent proven experience in sales, preferably within the building materials or construction industry.

Ability to read blueprints and architectural plans.

Intermediate competency level in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.

Must be well-versed in delivering presentations using a variety of media, including demos, samples, printed materials, and technology.

Proven experience developing customers through active outreach, such as conducting "Lunch & Learn" presentations and cold calling.

Ability to navigate multiple projects, diverse personality types, and various organizational layers (from general contractors to individual homeowners).

Flexibility in approach to different types of business problems and a willingness to change courses to avoid project setbacks.

Valid driver’s license and able to be covered by company liability insurance.

Ability to travel up to 50% visiting customers and potential customers as necessary based on sales region.

 

Qualifications – Preferred:

Knowledge or background in carpentry, cabinet installation, residential remodeling, or general contracting.

Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (e.g., Salesforce) and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).

Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.


Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to travel locally and navigate active multifamily construction sites, residential homes, and design showrooms. The role requires the frequent use of hands and digital tools to review project blueprints, input CRM data, and demonstrate cabinet hardware or material samples to clients.


Candidates must be capable of occasionally lifting and moving cabinet samples, literature bags, or displays weighing up to 40 lbs. Strong visual focus is required to read architectural plans, conduct accurate on-site material takeoffs, and inspect installed cabinetry for quality assurance. Additionally, candidates must be able to communicate clearly and adaptively with general contractors, field supervisors, and everyday homeowners, occasionally in active and noisy construction environments.


The employee must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hard hats, when visiting active multifamily or residential job sites.


Compensation:

Final compensation will be determined based on good-faith factors such as the candidate's geographic location, relevant sales experience, and industry-specific skills. The listed base salary reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.


Base Salary: $63,000 annually.

Additional Compensation: This position features a structured, performance-tiered commission program based directly on gross profit margins, allowing employees to steadily maximize their earning potential as they meet assigned sales targets.
