Senior Product Manager
About this role
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Product Leadership
- Define and execute the product roadmap for affinity ligands and chromatography resins, aligned with market trends and customer needs in bioprocessing.
- Conduct market analysis and engage with key opinion leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Develop business cases for new product development, including resin formats, ligand technologies, and application-specific solutions
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Translate voice of customer and market research into new product opportunities
- Collaborate with R&D and process development teams to ensure product performance, scalability, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GMP, ISO).
- Manage product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-market optimization, including phase-out strategies.
Commercial Enablement & Growth
- Partner with marketing and sales to develop go-to-market strategies, technical content, and training materials.
- Lead pricing, positioning, and promotional campaigns tailored to different customer segments
- Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the internal expert on the chromatography business, supporting commercial activities and customer engagements.
- Work closely with quality, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, quality, compliance and operational excellence.
- Represent the product line at industry conferences, webinars, and customer meetings.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of product management experience in life sciences, with a focus on chromatography, purification technologies, or bioprocessing.
- 2-3+ years of direct report management experience
- Good understanding of chromatography and downstream processing workflows
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GMP, ISO 9001).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio)
- Customer facing experience and the ability to build mutually beneficial, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative, hold team members accountable for deliverables, and obtain support across functions
- Strategic, tactical and analytical thinking
- Ability to travel globally, up to 25%
