Who are we looking for?

Due to sustained business growth in line with our scaling strategy, we are seeking Senior Analysts or Associates with experience in and a passion for the aerospace, defense, and government sector.  The candidate will be excited to apply sector knowledge, strategy and M&A advisory skills to complex, mission-driven markets at the intersection of industry, government and capital markets. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the Aerospace, Defense and Government sector with experience either in strategy consulting, strategy/corporate development teams in industry or private equity.


 Successful applicants must demonstrate:

 •     Strong interest in aerospace, defense and government sector with proof points of experience

     An interest in working on transformative strategy and M&A diligence engagements

     Experience in management consulting and/or corporate strategy and development

     Motivation and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced environment on consequential client projects

     Strong interpersonal and team working skills, as well as presence to be directly involved with senior client executives

     Rigorous analytical skills and comfort with guiding teams through complex quantitative analysis, including revenue models, market sizing, budget analysis, and competitive assessments

     An ability to combine these skillsets with a core understanding of client needs to drive clarity and confidence for consequential project outcomes

     Preparedness to work in-person based in the Washington DC area as part of an engaged firm culture

 

Primary day-to-day responsibilities

     Execute and deliver strategy and M&A projects on close-knit project teams working with peers, and project managers

     Engage in research and analysis to support consequential client initiatives such as growth strategies and M&A due diligences

     Work with Partners and Principals on business development initiatives

     Have a growing role mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with peers across the firm, be a steward of our sector IP

     Deliver/communicate reports and findings to client management and/or executive leadership


Preferred qualifications

     2 to 5 years of work experience in strategy, corporate development, M&A, or private equity roles in the Aerospace, Defense or Government Services sector or at consulting firms

     Strong Bachelor’s academic background; MBA or advanced degree also highly relevant

     Strong acumen in business writing and communication with team members and senior clients

     Excellent quantitative skills with clear examples of market, operational or financial model-making

     Experience working on teams and interfacing with senior executives

     Knowledge of and experience working with industry data sources and core Microsoft Office applications
