Description

The EHS Coordinator will support the EHS business function and assist the EHS Manager with coordinating safety related initiatives at the Greencastle & Waynesboro PA locations such as incident investigations and training programs; Prepare, track, post and monitor a variety of data, reports, metrics and other collections of safety related information utilizing various software applications; Monitor and maintain employee’s eligibility for Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses and Uniforms; Perform other duties as assigned, such as but not limited to receive and direct telephone calls, greet visitors, distribute mail and other correspondence.


How You Will Help

• Assist and coordinate compliance and maintenance of the environmental, safety and health management system (AEMS).
• Assist the EHS Manager with maintaining EHS training records.
• Assist with maintenance and coordination of the facilities’ EHS performance metrics, support the preparation of reports to ensure that performance data is communicated to all applicable parties, internal and external.
• Assist the EHS Manager with facilitating EHS training for all employees, and responsible for tracking the training, and maintaining the necessary training database and programs
• Monitor and maintain employee’s eligibility for Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses and Uniforms and complete necessary authorization/order forms.
• Assist the EHS Manager with the completion of incident investigations, root cause analyses, 5Y, developing corrective/preventive action plans and maintaining records of closure of corrective actions; assist with maintaining the site’s OSHA 300 Log.
• Assist with the preparation of job safety analysis’s, work instructions, risk assessments, or safety operating procedures,
• Assist EHS Manager with maintaining exposure databases, creating sampling reports and action plans as directed.
• Assist EHS Manager with the preparation of environmental reports and maintaining permits as per state and federal regulations.
• Stay updated with environmental trends and legislation.



What You Will Bring

• A High School Diploma is required, with a Degree in business administration or related field preferred
• 2 years related EHS experience, preferably within manufacturing
• OSHA 30 hour general industry training must be completed within 90 days of accepting role
• Ability to travel between the Facilities (Greencastle and Waynesboro, PA)
• Flexibility to transition to other shifts as needed for EHS meetings, training activities and initiatives
• Knowledge of EHS Regulation and experience with Regulatory Reporting
• Understanding of Manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Dakota application a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to document/record information in written or electronic form
• Ability to research EHS topics using the internet
• First aid, first responder, or emergency medical technician certification a plus.
