Internship Duration and Schedule

Starting immediately through the 2026 fall semester. Interns are expected to work approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate classes and academic commitments. We offer a flexible work schedule between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing you to balance academic and personal commitments.  


The Opportunity

Join us as an AI Development Intern and gain hands-on experience working with emerging artificial intelligence technologies! In this role, you’ll support real-world AI development, software testing, and product experimentation while working alongside company leadership and other team members.

You’ll have the opportunity to help set up and test AI development environments, monitor model training, troubleshoot software, experiment with AI tools and technologies, and document your findings. You’ll gain exposure to how AI is being explored and applied within a growing organization while developing your technical, problem-solving, and software development skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with AI development projects by setting up development environments, preparing test scenarios, and supporting software and AI experimentation
  • Monitors AI model training and hardware performance, documents progress, and communicates issues or unexpected results
  • Tests software applications, AI workflows, and prototypes using established testing procedures
  • Identifies, documents, and reproduces software bugs and unexpected behavior
  • Verifies that software updates, fixes, and configuration changes function as intended
  • Assists with basic programming, code updates, configuration changes, and technical troubleshooting with guidance from experienced team members
  • Supports the development and testing of AI-generated text, images, audio, and other digital content using approved AI tools
  • Researches and experiments with emerging AI tools, technologies, and approaches
  • Documents testing activities, technical findings, issues, and project progress
  • Creates setup instructions, testing documentation, and other technical resources to support ongoing development efforts
  • Assists with AI hardware and development workspace setup, configuration, and routine monitoring
  • Communicates completed work, findings, questions, and project roadblocks
  • Performs other additional duties as assigned or required


What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Coursework or practical experience involving programming or software development
  • Basic understanding of computer systems and software applications
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and emerging AI technologies
  • Experience with or interest in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies preferred
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly document technical work and findings
  • Ability to work independently while asking questions and seeking guidance when appropriate

Realityworks AI is headquartered in Eau Claire, WI. This is a fully onsite position.
