About this role
Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations for residential and commercial moving and storage services. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment; assisting with inventory control and materials handling; preparing equipment and materials for daily dispatch; and ensuring all warehouse procedures and documentation are followed accurately.
Warehouse Associates play a key role in supporting residential and commercial crews, protecting customer property, and maintaining Company standards for safety, accountability, and operational readiness.

Reports To: Sr. Vice President (SVP)
Works Closely With: Residential and Commercial Crews, Operations Team, Fleet and Warehouse Staff
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Facility Support
Assist with daily warehouse operations related to commercial moving and storage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse at all times.
Ensure storage areas, vaults, racks, containers, and materials are properly labeled and stored.
Support daily opening and closing warehouse procedures, including securing doors, equipment, and materials.
Help prepare warehouse, trucks, and equipment each morning to ensure crews are dispatched on time.
Inventory Control & Storage Handling
Assist with receiving, labeling, inventorying, and placement of household goods, commercial storage items, and materials.
Follow established procedures for items entering and leaving the warehouse, including releases, deliveries, and transfers.
Support physical inventory counts and audits as directed by warehouse leadership.
Handle customer goods with care to prevent loss or damage.
Materials & Packing Supplies
Assist with organizing, issuing, and restocking packing materials (boxes, pads, wrap, tape, and specialty supplies).
Accurately track materials used and report usage as required for billing and inventory purposes.
Equipment & Warehouse Tools
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
Assist with basic warehouse equipment checks and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly and secured after use.
Documentation & Timekeeping
Complete required warehouse documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure daily timesheets are completed correctly and submitted on time.
Follow all job coding and time tracking procedures.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all warehouse safety procedures, Company policies, and handling standards.
Use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Report safety concerns, damages, or incidents immediately to warehouse leadership.
Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Previous warehouse, moving, or labor experience preferred but not required.
Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
Familiarity with basic inventory or warehouse tracking systems.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Warehouse-based position with frequent physical activity.
Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy items (up to 100+ lbs. with assistance).
Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and warehouse conditions.
High attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork required.
