About this role
Purpose
The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for driving profitable growth and maximizing gross margin for the TRISTAR and TRILAC product portfolios. Working closely with supplier partners and the Bamberger Amco commercial team, the PM will develop growth strategies, strengthen supplier relationships, and support the sales organization in securing strategic business opportunities. The PM manages all compounder relationships for BAP North America.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
- Essential Functions
a) Drive profitable growth across the product portfolio.
b) Develop portfolio-specific sales playbooks in partnership with the Sales team, providing clear guidance on product positioning, value-added service differentiation, and competitive selling strategies.
c) Deliver competitive market insights and pricing guidance to support effective sales execution and margin optimization across all experience levels.
d) Responsible for creating and presenting marketing initiatives and training materials.
e) Leverage market intelligence and customer knowledge to identify growth opportunities and expand Bamberger Amco's share within targeted accounts.
f) Collaborate cross-functionally with Leadership, Sales, Purchasing, and Planning to develop product, supply, and inventory strategies that support sustainable, profitable growth.
g) Lead supplier and portfolio management activities, including cost negotiations, growth initiatives, demand forecasting, pricing strategy, and supply management.
h) Support product formulation work, regulatory needs, UL94 assistance, quality concerns, and new product development management

Supervisory Responsibilities
One direct report (responsible for formulating, R&D, UL94 management and Quality Control).

- Proven verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams
- Strong working knowledge of polycarbonate market and application spaces.
- Working knowledge of multiple material families, fillers and additives
- Strong commercial deal making acumen at the Supplier and Customer levels.
- Ability to combine Commercial acumen and data-driven insights into actionable results.
- Experienced working collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn basic systems such as Microsoft CRM
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or related training equivalent required
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility preferred
- Financial business acumen as demonstrated by previous work experience
- Sales or sales management experience preferred
- Commodity and/or Engineering plastics market experience
- Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license – required
- Language:
- Proficiency in English required

- Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
- This position is a hybrid in-office and work-from-home role.
- May be required to travel to office locations in the USA as well as other countries based on the businesses involved in e-commerce sales.

- Ability to setup desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).
