Location: USA Pkwy Sparks NV

Schedule:

 Mon-Fri 5:00am-1:30pm plus overtime as needed                                                                                                                            

Shipping/Receiving Handler - $19/hr

Position Summary
The Inbound/Outbound Handler is responsible for the efficient and accurate movement of products throughout the distribution center, including receiving, staging, palletizing, loading, unloading, and shipping merchandise while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unload product and cartons from inbound truck trailers and inspect shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Scan, verify, sort, and stage inbound and outbound cartons according to company, customer, and carrier requirements.
  • Palletize, organize, and stage product for storage or shipment.
  • Pull cartons and pallets for outbound shipments following established procedures.
  • Wrap pallets with shrink wrap and apply signage or labels according to customer requirements.
  • Re-tape cartons, replace damaged cartons, and correct labels as needed to ensure shipment quality.
  • Load outbound freight in the most efficient manner to maximize trailer utilization and meet shipping requirements.
  • Scan and load freight onto trailers, including fluid-loaded trailers when required.
  • Count and verify carton quantities with carriers, including LTL (Less Than Truckload) drivers, to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Report shipment discrepancies, damaged product, inventory variances, or safety concerns to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Complete assigned work orders and shipping/receiving tasks accurately and within established productivity standards.
  • Assist and work collaboratively with temporary associates and other team members during peak volume periods while ensuring safety and process compliance.
  • Follow all company policies, work instructions, quality standards, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and team members regarding operational needs and issues.
  • Cross-train and provide support in other departments as business needs require.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Prior warehouse experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. 
  • Reach above shoulder level and bend down to floor level.
  • Stand for 8 – 10 hours per day.
  • Able to tolerate hot/cold conditions in trailers depending on the weather.
