Raleigh Medical Group. PA is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Dermatology team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience by providing outstanding customer service while supporting patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, and front office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payment.
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referral and authorization processes.
Answer incoming phone calls and route inquiries appropriately.
Complete patient check-in and checkout processes accurately and efficiently.
Scan and maintain patient documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
Assist patients with registration forms, patient portal access, and required documentation.
Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, billing, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Manage office supply ordering, maintenance requests, and operational support tickets
Cross-train within front office functions and provide coverage as needed.
Support departmental initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong customer service and communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency with the ability to learn electronic health record (EHR).
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements

Preferred

One (1) year of experience in a medical office, physician practice, or healthcare customer service environment.
Experience with patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Experience using electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
