About this role

We are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to own the end-to-end electrical integration and test infrastructure for Radiant’s commercial microreactor, Kaleidos. As the first dedicated hire on the Integration & Test team, you will build the hardware-in-the-loop test environment from a clean sheet and establish the foundational platform used to validate the complete reactor control system ahead of commercial deployment. This is a high-visibility, technically deep role for someone who can operate independently, define requirements in ambiguous environments, and drive complex hardware programs from architecture through commissioning. You will work across electrical, software, controls, and simulation teams to recreate the reactor’s behavior in the lab and give engineers a robust platform for iterative testing and validation.

What will you be doing?

Building the hardware-in-the-loop test system from the ground up, including defining the architecture, selecting platforms such as NI PXI, dSPACE, Speedgoat, or similar, and bringing the complete electrical test environment online

Recreating the reactor control system on a bench by simulating sensors, actuators, signals, and system inputs and outputs across the full reactor architecture

Partnering with software, controls, simulation, and electrical teams to ensure the test environment accurately reflects reactor behavior and supports reliable, iterative validation

Defining electrical and software integration requirements across power distribution, signal conditioning, sensor mapping, actuator interfaces, communications, and device simulation

Owning the electrical validation strategy, including test procedures, automation tooling, data acquisition, debugging methodologies, and engineering best practices supporting the 2028 commercial deployment milestone
