Job Description:
Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join a small, talented Linux team operating within a hybrid cloud environment.
In this role, you will help design architecture and develop solutions to meet organizational needs while supporting Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures. You will configure, patch, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux environments while using scripting and automation to improve processes where possible.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Linux administration and scripting automation experience, work effectively within a small team, and have a desire to learn new technologies and identify creative solutions to technical challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
- Configure, patch, monitor, troubleshoot, and administer Linux environments.
- Support Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures.
- Help design architecture and develop solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Work with diverse teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Create, debug, and implement automation scripts using Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes where possible.
- Work collaboratively within a team and mentor junior staff.
- Communicate technical issues with team members and service owners.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ or CCNA.
- Strong Linux administration experience, including configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with diverse teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Experience creating, debugging, and implementing automation scripts using Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and mentor junior staff.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to communicate issues effectively with team members and/or service owners.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with AWS, specifically EC2 Auto Scaling.
- Experience with AWS CLI and boto3.
