About this role

Quatt installs heat pumps and batteries at a pace that puts us among the fastest in Europe. This is all powered by our operations team and the processes and tools they work in.

Your job is to improve the way that whole system works. You delete processes we no longer need, simplify what is left, and build the tooling that runs the rest, so the operation multiplies without adding people in the middle of it.

This is a broad role. In one week you might rebuild how partners get scored and paid, kill three approval steps, and rewrite the model that predicts how long a job takes. You will move between a Snowflake query, a partner's cost structure and a planner's screen on the same day.

What you own

Operations at Quatt run on systems, processes, rules and tools. You own how they work and whether they get better.

  • Delete first. Take a process apart before you automate it. Question every constraint we set ourselves, cut what earns nothing, simplify the rest. A rule you remove beats a tool you build.

  • Then build. Turn what survives into software, and judge your own work on how few people have to touch a job.

  • Set the rules and hold them. Some of this is telling other teams what they may no longer do, then making the new way the easy way.

Some examples of projects you will own on day 1:

  • The partner management system. Tiers, payment terms, pricing design, performance management, approval flows, and the tooling under all of it. A significant share of our installation capacity sits with partners, so this system decides a large part of what an install costs and how good it is. What "good" means stays with Field Operations, the commercial relationship stays with our partner team, and you own the system they both work in.

  • The job duration estimation model. How long a job takes drives crew utilisation, install cost, what we promise the customer and what we earn. Own the model, the data behind it, and its accuracy.

  • Capacity forecasting and the S&OP input. How many crews we will have, by region, by product, by week, three to six months out, and the number you bring to S&OP and defend. Run it as an operational responsibility while you build what makes it automatic.

What you're measured on

  • General Ops KPIs

  • The partner management system, delivered against the dates you agreed.

  • Job duration model accuracy. Predicted against actual, per job type.

  • Capacity forecast accuracy against actuals.

Who you are

  • AI-native. You use AI daily, build your own tools and you have a vision of how AI is going to disrupt our work and processes

  • You build. Given a bad process, you come back with a working tool rather than a slide about it. If your first move is a weekly alignment meeting, this will not work.

  • You’re analytical and see planning as a mathematical and operational optimisation problem.

  • You are a systems thinker. A rule in sales, a partner's rate card and a planner's screen are one system to you.

  • You go and look. You sit with a planner while they fight the board, you stand in a crawl space, you call a partner about scaling for next quarter.

  • You enjoy building things in about one-third of the time most competent people think is possible.
