About the Opportunity
The Maintenance Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of production equipment and facilities.
Based at our Pursuit Aerospace Tunisia site, this role combines technical expertise with team leadership. The Maintenance Leader works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to minimize equipment downtime, improve maintenance performance, and support the achievement of production objectives.
This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional with strong leadership and technical skills who enjoys solving complex problems, developing maintenance technicians, and driving continuous improvement in a demanding industrial and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, organize, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team.
Ensure the effective allocation of maintenance resources according to production priorities and equipment needs.
Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians to strengthen their technical skills and autonomy.
Provide technical guidance and support during complex equipment breakdowns and maintenance activities.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, ownership, safety, and continuous improvement.
Support the training and development of maintenance team members.
Participate in performance evaluations and identify development opportunities for team members.
Ensure effective communication between the Maintenance team and other departments.
Maintenance & Reliability
Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of production equipment and industrial installations.
Lead and support troubleshooting activities involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and control systems.
Coordinate corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
Identify recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive downtime.
Lead or participate in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities.
Monitor equipment performance and maintenance history to identify reliability improvement opportunities.
Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans and maintenance procedures.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, relocation, modification, and improvement projects.
Technical Expertise
Provide hands-on technical support during critical equipment breakdowns and high-priority maintenance events.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related failures.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, technical documentation, and OEM manuals.
Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines, production equipment, industrial utilities, and support equipment.
Work closely with external suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and service providers to resolve complex technical issues.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
Maintenance Planning & Continuous Improvement
Ensure the proper planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure accurate maintenance documentation and reporting within the CMMS or maintenance management system.
Review work orders, equipment history, downtime data, and failure trends.
Support the development and management of critical spare parts inventories.
Monitor maintenance KPIs, including equipment downtime, MTTR, MTBF, preventive maintenance compliance, and maintenance costs.
Lead or support continuous improvement and reliability projects focused on increasing equipment availability and reducing unplanned downtime.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance and manufacturing processes.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
Promote safe work practices, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and energy isolation procedures.
Support the implementation of EHS requirements and improvement initiatives.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in a maintenance leadership, supervisory, or senior technician role is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
Experience troubleshooting industrial and production equipment.
Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and equipment documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in CNC machines and automated manufacturing equipment.
Experience within the aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with reliability improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of TPM, 5S, Kaizen, or other industrial performance methodologies.
Experience leading root cause analysis using methodologies such as 5 Why, Ishikawa, or similar problem-solving tools.
Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
Experience managing maintenance KPIs and performance indicators.
Good level of English and French; Arabic is an advantage.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an industrial and manufacturing environment.
Frequent presence on the production floor is required.
The position may require standing, walking, and occasional lifting in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and safety glasses, is required in designated production areas.
Flexibility may be required to support production priorities, equipment breakdowns, weekend work, or emergency maintenance activities.
