About this role
The Buyer is responsible for managing assigned purchasing activities, from the identification of requirements through to delivery, ensuring the best balance between cost, quality, delivery and supplier performance, while complying with company procedures and applicable aerospace requirements.
2. Main Responsibilities
- Analyze purchasing requirements and purchase requisitions.
- Identify and select appropriate suppliers.
- Launch RFQs and analyze commercial and technical quotations.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, Incoterms and commercial conditions.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs).
- Monitor orders and ensure on-time delivery.
- Follow up on late deliveries and implement appropriate recovery actions with suppliers.
- Manage urgent requirements and supply risks.
- Identify and develop new sources of supply.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
- Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Optimize, in collaboration with the relevant departments , inventory levels and prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Maintain purchasing data and supplier information in the ERP system.
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Logistics and Maintenance.
- Participate in supplier audits and ensure compliance with applicable aerospace requirements.
- Maintain proper purchasing records and traceability.
3. Sourcing Activities
- Identify and qualify new suppliers.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking.
- Analyse the supplier panel and sourcing opportunities.
- Prepare and manage RFIs / RFQs
- Perform commercial analysis and quotation comparisons.
- Support supplier qualification activities.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies by commodity.
- Lead commercial negotiations.

6. Education & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-5 years’ experience in industrial purchasing.
- Experience in the aerospace industry or another highly regulated industry is an advantage.
Languages:
- English: Professional working proficiency, particularly for international supplier communication.
- French: Fluent.

Ensure the availability of required materials, products and services to support the company's operations, at the best total cost, within the required lead time and in compliance with quality, technical and regulatory requirements.
