Position Summary

The Clinical Program Supervisor provides site-level clinical leadership, guidance, and support for one assigned Psynergy clinic under the direction of the Clinic Director. This role helps ensure high-quality, person-centered mental health services through effective clinical coordination, staff support, day-to-day clinical operational assistance, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. The Clinical Supervisor contributes to Psynergy’s mission by fostering a therapeutic environment that supports recovery, stability, independence, and community integration for clients served at the assigned site.

Essential Duties

  • Provides lead support for site-level clinical operations and mental health rehabilitation services, including milieu support, individual and group rehabilitation, case management, and community-based services.
  • Supports evidence-based, recovery-oriented interventions for individuals with chronic mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and related medical or psychosocial needs.
  • Provides day-to-day clinical guidance, coaching, orientation, and support to rehabilitation staff, interns, volunteers, and other team members under the direction of the Clinic Director.
  • Supports oversight of hiring-related activities and budget management for the assigned clinic, in coordination with the Clinic Director and organizational leadership.
  • Assists with staff onboarding, training, scheduling coordination, timecard review, performance coaching, and corrective action follow-up as assigned[MB1] .
  • Coordinates with the Clinic Director, Facility Administrators, clinicians, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members to support treatment planning, program needs, service quality, productivity, and client access.
  • Assists with mental health treatment programming for clients stepping down from higher levels of care, within scope of role and under appropriate supervision.
  • Provides direct care, rehabilitation services, skill-building interventions, group services, and community linkage to support recovery, stability, independence, and community integration.
  • Assists with assessments, case conferences, treatment planning, strategic interventions, and service coordination within scope of role and licensure and under appropriate supervision.
  • Train and supports staff in documentation standards, assessment support, treatment plan coordination, service delivery expectations, and quality service practices as assigned.
  • Meets with assigned staff individually or in team settings, and facilitates or assists with clinical meetings, team huddles, in-services, and staff trainings as directed.
  • Models program expectations, therapeutic communication, ethical conduct, and appropriate rehabilitation practices for clients and staff.
  • Provides clinically appropriate support during client crises, including assessment support, intervention, follow-up, consultation, and backup assistance to staff responding to behavioral changes.
  • Monitors client behavior, symptoms, and progress toward rehabilitation goals; reports observations and concerns to the appropriate supervisor or clinician.
  • Completes and reviews documentation as assigned, including intake documentation, service notes, reports, clinical records, and required licensed approvals or signatures when applicable.
  • Serves as a liaison, as assigned, with County partners, community providers, client treatment team members, and internal departments.
  • Acts as a Mandated Reporter and immediately reports suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or safety concerns in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Assists with Quality Improvement activities, County reviews, corrective action follow-up, Medi-Cal certification or re-certification support, , and program resources to support client needs as assigned.
  • Take on-call duties as necessary. 
  • Acts as a Mandated Reporter and immediately reports suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or safety concerns in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Consistently supports compliance with Psynergy’s Employee Conduct Policy by maintaining privacy and confidentiality, protecting organizational assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, avoiding potential and actual conflicts of interest, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, accreditations, and licensure requirements (where applicable) and to Psynergy’s policies and procedures.
  • Models and reinforces ethical behavior in oneself and others in accordance with Psynergy’s policies and procedures; supports compliance initiatives; maintains confidentiality; admits mistakes; conducts business honestly; demonstrates consistency in words and actions; and follows through on commitments.

Job Requirements

  1. Education, License/Certification, and Work Experience

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, with LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or PsyD licensure required. Two years post-licensure and the ability to provide clinical supervision to the team as needed. 

Must possess, or be able to obtain, adult CPR and first-aid certification within 30 days of hire.

Three years of direct care experience with individuals with mental illness.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety protocols, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and policy manuals. 
  • Capable of preparing routine reports and professional correspondence. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, including presenting information to groups of customers, employees, or stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in performing basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. 
  • Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions. 
  • Capable of evaluating and resolving issues involving multiple variables in both routine operations and emergency scenarios, using sound judgment and critical thinking. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, as well as inventory management and database software.
  • This job requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking on inclines, standing, talking, hearing, and repetitive hand motions. Vision needs include close vision and focus adjustment. Occasionally required to lift, push, or pull up to twenty-five pounds.
  1. Pre-Hire Requirements

Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII, licensing regulations, including FBI and DOJ clearance. A health screening, by or under the direction of a physician, must have been performed not more than one year prior to employment or within seven (7) days after employment. Health screening must include TB clearance not more than one year prior to employment or within seven (7) days after employment. Must be physically able to assist clients and/or staff in the evacuation of the program facility in emergency situations. Must be able to administer first aid in an emergency situation.
