Join Alera Group's Transformation Office and help shape the future of how our Property & Casualty teams work. This is a temporary, project-based contract opportunity expected to last approximately two years, supporting a large-scale enterprise transformation initiative.
As an Applied Epic Training & Content Specialist – Property & Casualty, you'll develop the training materials, process documentation, and user resources that support the implementation and adoption of Applied Epic and related P&C business processes. You'll partner with project teams and business stakeholders to translate new processes and system functionality into clear, practical resources that help colleagues confidently navigate change, adopt standardized workflows, and successfully transition to new ways of working.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain training materials, user guides, job aids, and quick reference resources for Applied Epic and other P&C platforms.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and workflow documentation that support enterprise business processes.
- Translate complex system functionality into clear, user-friendly content for diverse audiences.
- Partner with subject matter experts, business leaders, and configuration teams to document new processes and system updates.
- Support system implementations, conversions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain the enterprise learning library and ensure content remains accurate, current, and aligned with organizational standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
What You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience in content development, technical writing, instructional design, training, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience developing and/or delivering technical or business systems training
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance operations, workflows, and terminology
- Experience creating training materials, job aids, process documentation, SOPs, and other user-facing resources
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other content development or learning technologies
- Ability to translate complex system functionality and business processes into clear, practical, and engaging learning content
- Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, project teams, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced transformation environment
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with Applied Epic, particularly within P&C agency or brokerage operations
- Experience developing training and content in support of an Applied Epic implementation, migration, or rollout
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise system implementations or transformation initiatives
- Experience developing SOPs, workflow documentation, process maps, job aids, and system training materials
- Knowledge of change management, adult learning, and user adoption best practices
Compensation
The anticipated hourly rate for this contract position is $60.00–$75.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and relevant expertise.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, temporary contract position expected to last approximately two years. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Alera Group offices or project locations as needed.
This is a project-based assignment supporting Alera Group's enterprise transformation and the implementation and adoption of Applied Epic across our Property & Casualty business. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, exceptional attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to create practical learning content that helps colleagues successfully navigate new systems, processes, and ways of working.
