We are hiring Pastry Cooks to prepare a variety of pastries and desserts according to M&O recipes and standards. This is a contract role and will conclude in September.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work under the direction of the Pastry Chef to prepare and assist in the production of a variety of baked goods and desserts.
Prepare cakes, pies, tarts, and cookies.
Create mousses, custards, sauces, and compotes.
Bake a variety of breads and other pastry items.
Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards for all pastry products.

QualificationsQualifications
Working knowledge of food preparation.
Working knowledge of pastry & dessert preparation
Safe food handling practices
Working knowledge of mixers, other large equipment.
Comprehensive understanding of the English language.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
Familiarity with pastry related skills.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable learning and using event technology systems and troubleshooting issues quickly.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and solutions.
Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Problem Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving issues efficiently under pressure.
Adaptability: Comfortable working flexible hours and adjusting to changing operational needs.
Reliability: Dependable attendance and commitment to supporting the event team.
Work Environment
This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
Will be required to use standard kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and blenders.
