The Animation Director leads the Animation team, providing creative and strategic direction throughout the production process within the Harmony software environment. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent animation that aligns with the project's artistic vision, with a primary focus on elevating character movement and performance across the production.
Skills/Experience
7+ years of experience working in 2D animation and 5+ years experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding and demonstration of hand-drawn and/or rigged animation fundamentals.
Ability to analyse and synthesise complex information and ideas.
Consultative, collaborative, global working style.
Strong time management and organisational skills, working effectively to deadlines.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite and Toon Boom Harmony
Confident presentation and facilitation skills
Able to lead a client-focused approach to deliver shows to their expected standards.
Effective leadership and management of large teams.
Written and verbal communication skills, ensuring that the necessary information is flowing across production and within the department.
High degree of professionalism, maturity & initiative.
