Job DetailsJob Location: Prestonwood Pregnancy Center - Richardson, TX 75080Position Type: Full-TimeEducation Level: CertificationJob Category: Medical AssistantResponsible for medical tasks and assisting clinic medical staff as needed at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center (“PPC”).
Responsibilities
Work with clinic staff and volunteers to coordinate patient flow
Perform pregnancy tests and complete necessary documentation
Assist with patient/family education and provide instructions to patient as directed
Fax medical records per clinic policy
Assist physician or nursing staff with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
Manage inventory of medical supplies and keep exam rooms stocked
Collect urine samples for STD testing and complete necessary documentation
Incorporate principles of safety in all clinical operations
Demonstrate safe use of all equipment related to patient care
Maintain infection control measures with all patient contact
Assist with medical volunteer management and recruitment
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsRequirements
Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
Excellent communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
High level of confidentiality
High school diploma or equivalent
Required to meet one of the following
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
Holds a current national MA certification
Commitment to continued professional development
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
Willingness to serve at other PPC locations as needed
Ability to work a Monday- Friday schedule with flexibility to include evenings, approximately one Saturday each month, and PPC scheduled events
Able to perform occasional activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as in lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, and able to lift up to 10 lbs. without assistance
