Reconditioning Engineer

Job Purpose:

Responsible for tasks surrounding the equipment reconditioning process, including disassembly, cleaning, assembly, painting, testing, researching OEM manuals and specifications.  Also responsible for coordinating the logistics of inbound and outbound systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recondition products to OEM specs, including disassembly, cleaning, re-assembly, and painting.
• Test reconditioned products to ensure they meet OEM Specifications.
• Receive equipment, quality check and return equipment to designated locations.
• Properly package and ship equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory control by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system.
• Keep warehouse organized and communicate with project manager regularly about job status.
• Travel to customer site to support installation of equipment, as needed.
• Other projects and duties assigned by Project Manager.

Qualifications:

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Photochemical, electromechanical, computer and troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Must be computer literate and have excellent understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Good organizational skills needed to handle multiple tasks with varying timetables.
• Ability to apply acquired knowledge from formal training courses accurately in the field.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and a technical propensity.
• High degree of self-motivation and creativity.
• Team player that takes initiative and works well with others in all levels of the organization.
• Ability to network internally/externally to resolve technical issues.
• Able to work non-traditional work schedules involving late nights and occasional weekends.
• Travel may be required.

Working Conditions:

The job is conducted in a professional office environment and involves routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasional travel may be required; domestic.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting for long periods of time and standing for long periods of time.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50lbs regularly.
