Position Summary
As the first smiling face our guests see, the Host/Hostess sets the tone for the entire dining experience. This role is all about creating a warm, welcoming, and organized environment from the moment a guest walks through the door. A great host balances hospitality with efficiency—managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring the flow of service runs smoothly. If you love connecting with people, staying on top of the details, and being at the heart of the restaurant’s energy, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant’s system.
Coordinate seating to maximize efficiency while maintaining an excellent guest experience.
Communicate effectively with servers and managers about guest needs, table status, and flow of service.
Answer phones, take reservations, and provide accurate wait time estimates.
Assist with menus, special requests, and accommodating guest preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
Support the team during peak service hours to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred, but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and upbeat in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
