Job Title: Food Production Associate
Job Summary:
The Food Production Associate is responsible for performing various tasks including culling, sorting, washing, peeling, cutting, packaging, and palletizing finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble ingredients, including washing, cutting, measuring, mixing, blending, and weighing.
- Operation of handheld tools and equipment.
- Keen Vigilance upholding quality and standards is a must.
- Packaging finished goods, ensuring that products are securely sealed, labeled, and prepared for shipment or storage.
- Perform routine cleaning on production lines to keep things tidy and organized and safely sanitized.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any potential hazards or concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations, quality control standards, and HACCP principles.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow established recipes and production specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift to 30 pounds, stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed to meet production demands.
- The work environment is in a cold storage facility; temperature range is 34°F throughout your work shift.
