Senior Manager, Software Engineering - App Ecosystem

Seattle · Hybrid$198k – $215k

About this role

Since our founding, we’ve delivered over $1 billion in funding to more than 1 million customers and saved them over $500 million. At Possible, we’re building a new kind of consumer finance company, one that helps people stay out of debt rather than profit from keeping them in it.

At Possible, we’re building a new type of consumer finance company—one that helps our customers stay out of debt rather than profit from their staying in it. We are a Public Benefit Corporation with the mission to help communities unlock economic mobility through affordable credit products crafted to improve financial health for generations.

The Team

The App Ecosystem team is Possible’s mobile foundation. We own the React Native platform, build and release infrastructure, Expo integration, and every shared surface in the app: authentication, account settings, the multi-product dashboard, and the core component library. We’re a small, high-leverage team that makes every product team faster.

The Role

This is a leadership role for someone who wants to shape what mobile looks like at a fintech company in the middle of a major product evolution. You’ll manage a team of 5 to 7 engineers and partner with a Principal PM to define the roadmap, drive architectural decisions, and build the platform every product team ships on.

This is not a maintenance role. You’ll be pushing the boundaries of what our app can do for customers, establishing AI-first engineering practices across your team, and building composable frontend patterns from the ground up.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience managing software engineers, with a track record of developing talent and retaining it

  • Deep technical fluency in React Native or a comparable mobile framework; you can lead architecture decisions, not just approve them

  • Active, opinionated use of AI tools in your own workflow, and experience driving AI adoption across a team

  • Experience leading a platform team that serves multiple product teams, balancing shared quality with product velocity

  • A bias toward shaping direction from a blank page rather than waiting for one to appear

Our Values in This Role

  • Act with Ownership

  • To Lead is to Serve

  • Scientific Approach

Compensation

$197,800 to $215,000, plus meaningful stock options, a bonus plan, comprehensive benefits, and commuter benefits.
