Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041The operator for the Palletizing department is responsible for overseeing the palletizing machine condition and operation. Palletizers input data into the machine, perform quality checks, and adhere safety policies and housekeeping.

DESCRIPTION

Ensures compliance regarding Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Good Housekeeping practices for all activities.
Conduct regular quality checks and ensure to meet standards.
Monitoring machine output.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or malfunctions that may arise during the production process to minimize downtime.
Planned to meet production goals.
Be vigilant of the material and process.
Fill out production reports with accuracy and attention.
Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
Follows safety policies and sanitation regulations.
Conduct other duties as assigned by management.

COMPETENCIES

Must have general knowledge of palletizing equipment principles.
Knowledge of FSSC 22000:2005.
Must be knowledgeable of GMPs and HACCP.
Ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments.
Demonstrate knowledge of relevant equipment policies and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
In-depth understanding of safety practices in plastic manufacturing.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting a safety culture.
Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Skill in coordinating resources to meet production deadlines.
Skill in managing team stress during high-demand periods and ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Competence in using production management software and data analysis tools.

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in plastic recycling and material.
Bilingual.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
Good eyesight to inspect finished products for quality defects.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
