Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30a - 3:00p

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine physical tasks throughout the shift, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, carrying, and repetitive motion. Must be able to safely handle cleaning supplies and equipment, climb stairs, and work in a manufacturing environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, odors, dust, cleaning chemicals, and required PPE. Occasional ladder use may be required, when trained and authorized.

Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility support experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment is preferred but not required. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, recognize and report safety concerns, and safely use standard cleaning supplies and equipment. Must be able to follow chemical labels, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) instructions, PPE requirements, and established sanitation and housekeeping procedures.

Position Specific Responsibilities:

  • Removing trash and recyclable materials from designated areas throughout the plant, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, production areas, warehouse areas, and exterior grounds.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking restrooms, locker areas, breakrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and other common areas.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping surfaces, and performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly facility.
  • Cleaning production, manufacturing, warehouse, and facility support areas as assigned, including floors, walkways, work areas, entrances, trash collection areas, and other designated interior and exterior spaces, while following applicable safety requirements.
  • Safely operating janitorial and floor care equipment, which may include floor scrubbers, wet and dry vacuums, and other powered or manual cleaning equipment, when trained and authorized.
  • Properly using, labeling, storing, and handling cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions, SDS requirements, and company safety procedures. Cleaning non-hazardous spills using appropriate supplies, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Identifying and immediately reporting suspected hazardous material or chemical spills, leaks, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, blocked walkways or exits, and other potential safety hazards. Hazardous material spills must not be cleaned unless the employee is appropriately trained and authorized.
  • Performing minor facility upkeep such as replacing supplies, reporting maintenance concerns, assisting with basic general upkeep, and supporting minor non-skilled tasks as assigned. Skilled electrical, plumbing, equipment repair, or other maintenance work is not included unless specifically trained and authorized.
  • Supporting seasonal exterior housekeeping activities as assigned, including removal of debris and snow and ice control around entrances and walkways.
  • Monitoring janitorial supplies and notifying the appropriate person when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Following all plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, housekeeping expectations, sanitation standards, and established cleaning practices while working in an aerosol manufacturing environment.

This role requires regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to support daily facility needs, complete assigned cleaning schedules, respond to urgent housekeeping requests, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and perform all other job duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while supporting the needs of the production facility.
