About the Role:
The Cook at Plum Market Food Service – Eppley Airfield is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and a strong understanding of food safety practices. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering a great experience for all travelers and guests.

What you will do:

  • Prepare food items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure all food is made with attention to quality, freshness, and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to meet service demands.
  • Restock and rotate food supplies as needed throughout the shift.
  • Communicate any equipment or food supply concerns to the Supervisor promptly.
  • Support opening and closing kitchen duties, including cleaning and preparation tasks.

What you will bring:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and adhere to portion and presentation standards.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Dependable with strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience in airport or travel-related food service settings.
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification is a plus.
