About this role

Responsible for processing and coordinating payroll activities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and labor laws.
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and verify employee time records, attendance, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee data in payroll systems.
  • Coordinate payroll changes including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for management and finance teams.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and Accounting departments to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including tax forms and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
  • Knowledge of ADP, UKG, Workday, SAP, or similar payroll systems.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll accounting processes.
