About this role
Responsible for processing and coordinating payroll activities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or payroll administration.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and labor laws.
- Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Review and verify employee time records, attendance, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and employee data in payroll systems.
- Coordinate payroll changes including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management and finance teams.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Accounting departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Support year-end payroll activities, including tax forms and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
- Knowledge of ADP, UKG, Workday, SAP, or similar payroll systems.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll accounting processes.
