Job Title: Business Development Associate I

Summary: Business Development Associate I must be an experienced and motivated individual to drive growth in our clinical research services and the placement of clinical research studies within our network of sites. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, nurturing strategic partnerships, and supporting key initiatives to expand our client base.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be self-starters, with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Business Strategy Development: Works closely with the Business Development Directors and Therapeutic leads to support the execution and development of the Business Strategy for:
- IRO services sales.
- Pipeline: Using opportunity databases to identify listings of potential prospects for IRO services.
As directed, use traditional and non traditional sales activities such as: cold calling/emailing, in person meetings, scheduling meetings with attendees, local networking events, networking via social platforms, and leveraging existing KOL relationships for connection.
- Client Relationship Management Support: Support the account plans to establish partnerships with key accounts. Serve as a supporting contact for prospective and existing clients in the assigned TA regarding IRO services to strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities.
Supports the BD Team in managing and achieving customer satisfaction and expectations.
- Event Participation and Networking: Represent the company at corporate meetings, exhibitions, industry conferences, trade shows and networking events to promote services and establish new connections.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and services to clients.
- Revenue and Goal Achievement: Supports the achievement of revenue targets through robust pipeline and opportunity management.
- Proposal Development Support: Supports the development of RFIs, RFPs and Proposals, under the direction of the BD Director and therapeutic heads.
- Procedural: Contributes to the development of Business Development best practices and strategies.
- Reporting & Lead Management:Utilize the lead CRM solutions to update accounts, opportunities, contacts, and all corresponding activities. Supports the creation of reports of business development activities, pipeline status, and forecasted revenue.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field, or equivalent level experience in clinical research.
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management, with a strong background in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical or health care clients, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Understanding of clinical trial processes, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with CRM tools, sales tracking software.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
