· Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules, and regulations are followed and met.
· Serve as the strategic partner to the VP of Human Resources to drive talent development, engagement, and core HR initiatives for the organization.
· Lead a team of HR professionals responsible for employee relations, HR procedures, talent management, succession planning, and compliance with employment laws.
· Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to equal employment opportunity, FMLA, ADA, unemployment compensation, and all other employment-related requirements.
· Coordinate employment activities including employee relations, compliance, performance management, and terminations.
· Conduct second-step hearings as part of the grievance process and provide timely investigation and resolution of labor relations matters.
· Support talent management processes across the organization, including performance reviews, succession planning, leadership assessments, and internal talent mobility.
· Plan, manage, and monitor the HR department budget.
· Edit and maintain required Quality Assurance documentation for the Human Resources department.
· Facilitate compliance training, and leadership development opportunities throughout the organization.
· Conduct exit interviews to identify trends impacting retention and recommend solutions to improve employee satisfaction and engagement.
· Conduct and resolve investigations regarding employee complaints and concerns.
· Develop HR metrics, reporting, and workforce analytics to provide actionable recommendations that mitigate risk and positively impact business performance.
· Cultivate HPSI's culture, vision, and values across all levels of the organization.
· Analyze employee feedback, workplace trends, HR policies, and workforce data to recommend improvements that support HPSI's vision and values.
· Continuously assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of HR programs and practices against relevant market and industry benchmarks.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY
HR Administrative Assistant and Labor Relations Supervisor
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline required
· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
· 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience; 7-10 years in Human Resources
· Previous labor relations experience preferred
· Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, HR practices, policies, and employment laws
· Experience leading teams, projects, and organizational initiatives
· Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills across all organizational levels
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be executed indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
