CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANT

FIELD COORDINATION • PROJECT SUPPORT • WARRANTY FOLLOW-UP

Keep the details organized and help our projects move forward.

Buildforth by Paradigm is hiring a Construction Assistant to support our Construction Coordinator, Construction Manager, and site teams across active projects, project handover, and warranty service. This is a mobile, technology-driven role for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working in construction environments, and confident keeping information, materials, schedules, and follow-up items moving.

You will travel regularly between project sites, assist with field coordination and logistics, maintain accurate digital records, and help track deficiencies and warranty items through to completion. We are especially interested in candidates who live in Revelstoke or elsewhere in the Okanagan and can travel throughout British Columbia as project needs change.

AT A GLANCE

• Full-time role supporting active construction, project closeout, and warranty work

• Revelstoke or Okanagan-based candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

• Frequent travel to active sites and completed projects throughout British Columbia

• Field coordination, digital project administration, logistics, and hands-on support

• Monday-to-Friday work is anticipated, with flexibility for extended hours, rotations, or occasional weekends

• Competitive compensation, group benefits, EAP, annual safety allowance, referral bonus program, and growth opportunities

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

• Gain broad construction exposure while working with coordinators, managers, Superintendents, trades, suppliers, and clients.

• Combine field work with technology-based tracking, reporting, scheduling, and communication.

• Support projects from active construction through handover, deficiency completion, and warranty service, including prefabricated wall- and floor-panel systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Assist the Construction Coordinator and Construction Manager with day-to-day coordination, scheduling, task follow-up, and communication across multiple projects.

• Travel between active and completed projects to gather information, deliver materials or equipment, confirm progress, and provide field support.

• Maintain digital site records, action lists, schedules, photographs, delivery information, reports, and closeout documents using company systems.

• Use Microsoft 365, shared cloud files, mobile applications, Bluebeam Revu, and construction-management or tracking software to keep project information current.

• Organize drawings, revisions, site instructions, inspection records, operations and maintenance manuals, warranty forms, and handover documentation.

• Identify, photograph, prioritize, and track deficiencies, turnover items, and warranty requests through to completion.

• Communicate with homeowners, clients, trades, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams while maintaining clear records of commitments and completed work.

• Coordinate access, trades, materials, deliveries, and schedules for warranty and deficiency work, including panel-related issues involving damage, alignment, connections, barriers, windows, doors, and finishes.

• Coordinate material orders and deliveries, assist with receiving and inventory checks, and escalate site or warranty concerns until assigned actions are closed.

• Assist with minor carpentry, repairs, finishing, clean-up, and general construction tasks while following all safety requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Experience in construction, carpentry, site administration, coordination, warranty service, logistics, customer service, or a related role; practical field and administrative experience is valued.

• Strong computer skills and confidence learning new technology, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint or other cloud files, digital forms, mobile apps, photographs, and project-tracking tools.

• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, construction-management software, digital deficiency or warranty platforms, or electronic document control is a strong asset.

• Excellent organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and professional communication with site teams, homeowners, clients, trades, suppliers, and managers.

• Basic knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, materials, drawings, specifications, and quality expectations; panelized construction experience is an asset.

• A valid driver’s licence, satisfactory driving abstract, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel frequently throughout British Columbia.

• A self-directed, adaptable approach and comfort working independently while remaining connected through digital tools.

• Carpentry or trade experience and construction safety certifications are assets, along with the ability to safely use basic tools and handle materials.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is divided between active sites, completed projects, travel, and computer-based coordination; some remote administration may be completed when appropriate.

• Frequent driving, overnight travel, employer-arranged accommodations, and changing project locations may be required.

• Site work may include outdoor conditions, noise, dust, uneven terrain, ladders, and physical demands.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.

• Travel support, mileage, living-out allowance, and employer-arranged accommodations when applicable to the assignment.

• Group benefits, Employee Assistance Program, annual safety allowance, referral bonus program, and professional growth opportunities.
