Maintenance Supervisor, Affordable Housing

At People Incorporated, we believe safe, affordable housing is the foundation of healthy communities. We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to help perform maintenance and oversee maintenance operations for affordable housing communities throughout our service area.
This position combines hands on maintenance expertise with leadership responsibilities, creating an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on the quality and safety of our communities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead & support
- Directly provide maintenance services for a new affordable housing property in Richmond.
- Lead and support Maintenance Technicians across multiple sites.
Maintain & improve
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist with capital projects, vendor management, and contract oversight.
- Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
Keep communities strong
- Help ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Support inventory management and maintenance documentation.
Deliver results
- Provide hands-on assistance when needed to keep work orders and unit turnover on schedule.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Background
- Experience in building maintenance, repairs, and grounds upkeep.
- Leadership experience supervising maintenance staff.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry or related trades.
Skills that matter here
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between properties.
