This role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience building backend services with Django, developing modern web applications with Vue.js, designing RESTful APIs, and implementing microservices that support high-volume, mission-critical systems.
\nResponsibilities- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable applications using Django and Vue.js.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and Agile ceremonies.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and contribute to continuous improvements in engineering practices.
- Mentor other engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in software engineering principles, design patterns, and modern development practices.
- Strong experience developing backend applications using Python.
- Experience building scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Strong experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience developing frontend applications using Vue.js and modern JavaScript.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience integrating internal and third-party APIs.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automated testing, test-driven development (TDD), and code reviews.
- Experience documenting software functionality and reviewing the work of other engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong experience with Django, PostgreSQL, Vue.js, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with automated testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and code reviews.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance applications and working with distributed systems.
- Experience in Payments, FinTech, or other high-volume transactional environments is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.
