Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Python focused)

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure, scalable APIs and services using Python on AWS serverless (Lambda)
• Architect autoscaling, self-healing, event-driven systems in AWS (Lambda, SQS/SNS)
• Design and integrate GraphQL APIs that power React/TypeScript frontends
• Drive automation across CI/CD (CircleCI, GitHub Actions), testing, and infrastructure-as-code workflows
• Mentor engineers and help shape a clean code culture
• Contribute to architecture discussions for AI-powered features and systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack/backend engineering experience
• Expert in Python, AWS serverless (Lambda), and modern API-first platform architecture
• Experience building platforms that scale and heal themselves
• DevOps-aware mindset (CI/CD with CircleCI and GitHub Actions, observability with Datadog or equivalent, rollback readiness)
• Bonus: fintech/payroll/payments domain experience, GraphQL, and frontend (React/TypeScript) architecture
• Experience building and supporting distributed, event-driven systems, including integrations with third-party services and designing for resilience and failure recovery.
• Strong sense of production ownership, including deployment, monitoring, incident management, and operational support.
• Solid testing and verification mindset, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-quality software in environments where accuracy and correctness are critical.
• Experience using AI-powered tools
