THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Commercial Superintendent, you'll lead the day-to-day field operations of commercial construction projects, with responsibility for site coordination, safety, quality, schedule, and trade partner performance.
Working closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer, you'll keep projects moving safely and efficiently while maintaining Pavilion's standards from project startup through completion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and coordinate daily construction operations and overall jobsite activities
- Manage subcontractors and trade partners to maintain project schedule, quality, and performance expectations
- Champion jobsite safety and lead weekly safety meetings with all trades
- Develop and communicate short-term schedules and upcoming project milestones
- Coordinate closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to keep field and office activities aligned
- Review plans, specifications, and construction documents to understand project requirements and identify potential conflicts
- Coordinate field questions, submittals, clarifications, and other project information with the project team
- Monitor construction progress and proactively address schedule, coordination, quality, and logistical challenges
- Maintain accurate daily reports, photographs, and other required project documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional jobsite that reflects Pavilion's standards
- Build productive working relationships with clients, trade partners, inspectors, and project stakeholders
- Provide leadership and direction to Pavilion field personnel and project teams
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Commercial construction field leadership and superintendent experience
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, safety, and field coordination
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and priorities
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and clearly communicate weekly and monthly project plans
- A hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to identify challenges early and drive timely solutions
- Commitment to safely delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget
- A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, trade partners, and clients
