Tank Delivery Driver
Palmdale currently operates in more than 50 counties across Florida and provides a wide range of tailored commercial fuel and lubricant solutions to customers in the agricultural, industrial, construction, marine, and government sectors. Operating out of 20 locations statewide, the company is a leader in the industry in the procurement and sale of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, commercial and industrial lubricants, and chemicals that are used across a diverse set of end markets.
Palmdale Oil has an immediate opening at our Fort Pierce location for a Tank Delivery Driver, Class B with X Endorsement. The driver must be dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid background in driving and a desire to work for a fast-paced, corporate organization. In addition to exceptional customer service skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves" attitude.
Job Description
Class B CDL Tank Delivery Driver position include:
- Operates a flatbed truck as directed that delivers between the facility and multiple destinations.
- Responsible for tank building
- Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and/or pick-up of tanks to ensure timely service
- Makes deliveries of tanks in accordance with customer needs and company policies.
- Maintains telephone contact with home terminal/dispatch center to receive delivery instructions or notices of changes in route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations
- Responsible for daily inspection of vehicle (pre-post trip), ensuring proper function of all safety related features of the vehicle at all times, including refueling as needed
Job Requirements
The required skills for the CDL B Route Driver are:
- CDL with Haz-Mat & Tanker Endorsements (X)
- Minimum 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Must be licensed to operate the assigned vehicle
- Able to Lift 85 pounds
- Available for overtime as required to meet business needs within the appropriate State/Federal regulations, plus weekends as needed
- Travel in the Tampa area and surrounding regions
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Positive and Professional Demeanor
- Outstanding Safety Record
- Must have a clean driving record with no serious violations
- Must be able to meet all DOT/Federal and State Requirements for the operation of commercial motor vehicles
- Must maintain a clean presentation of the driver and vehicle
