Pair is seeking Maintenance & Facilities Technician for both 1st shift and 2nd shift to support our prescription eyewear manufacturing operation in Irvine, CA. This role will report to our Director of Maintenance & Facilities.
Candidates should indicate their preferred shift during the application process. Final shift placement will be based on candidate availability and business needs.
What You’ll Do:
You will maintain company Health and Safety standards including PPE (where applicable).
You will follow OSHA safety regulations when performing all maintenance.
You will participate in training of new Operator associates when needed.
You will support the Rx-Lab production teams in driving low machine down times by executing repairs and planned preventive maintenance.
Support the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure efficient and effective processes.
You will provide Maintenance Leadership with updates; in order to proactively identify problems.
You will troubleshoot production equipment errors.
You will communicate with other department leaders, to assure they are aware of machine status to adjust workflow to account for affected equipment.
You will interact daily with Production Leadership, Quality Department, and other groups to keep operations running smoothly and properly.
You will execute the daily prioritization of Preventive Maintenances and Repairs, escalating any and all delays or issues to Maintenance Leadership.
You will be responsible for performing parts audits, placing orders, receiving orders, and putting away replenishment parts in an organized and timely manner.
You will provide project support across all departments.
You will maintain excellent working relationships with all other departments.

You have previous experience in similar roles (Maintenance/Equipment Processes/Building Facilities Roles).
You are an effective communicator and work in team environments.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You are self-motivated and an efficient problem solver.
You have the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
You are proficient in computer skills.
Need to Have:
1-2+ years of experience in Technician/Maintenance Roles.
Detail Oriented.
Good computer knowledge/skills.
Good critical thinking skills / basic troubleshooting.
Understanding of basic electrical safety practices.
Basic functions of DVOM (Meter).
Strong organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High School Diploma.
Available to work multiple shift schedules including holidays and weekends as needed.
Clean driving record.
Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance on all scheduled days and to support satellite buildings.
Ability to work indoor, outdoor, and inclement weather.
Ability to work on your feet the majority of your shift and handle materials up to 70 pounds in weight with assistance (i.e. push and pull, or lift in tandem).
Ability to pass Electro/Mechanical written test.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Optical Equipment.
Experience with Lens Manufacturing Process (Surfacing, Coating, Edging, etc…).
Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces.
Trade School / Industrial or Mechanical Certifications.
Exposure to CMMS Programs.
Knowledge of inventory control

At Pair, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. These considerations can cause individual compensation to vary. The pay range for this position is expected to be $26.00–$28.00 per hour and will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role may be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
