As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What You’ll Do

  • Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)
  • Help clients get into the community and stay engaged
  • Follow care plans and goals
  • Communicate with families and your team
  • Complete notes and documentation
  • Ensure safety and well-being at all times

Current Clients Needing Additional Support

Client 1:

  • Male | 9yrs | 97140
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri 2:30 pm-5:30 pm and some weekend hours
  • Likes: Being physically active and that helps keeps his mind busy, loves both his family dogs, labor-doodles, the dogs help reduce his stress and anxiety. Communication is very important to him
  • Needs: Must be Neuro-diversity affiring, be familiar with or willing to learn the declarative language and/or low demand language. Be kind and patient and work on redirection and communication

Client 2:

  • Male | 9yrs | 97140
  • Schedule: Mon- Fri 2:30 pm- 5:30pm and some weekend hours
  • Likes: Enjoys a balance of social interaction along with his introverted needs. Loves staying active and is very athletic
  • Needs: Help with creating a routine, predictability and prepping him especially in new situations, giving him time and space to calm down when he becomes frustrated. Being patient and willing to listen when he is speaking or needs something.

Requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of caregiving or related experience
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Smartphone required
  • Must be able to successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)


Pay & Benefits

  • $24.00/hour
