About this role

Product Manager - Carbon Management (m/f/x)

Department: Product Management

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Mannheim

Description

As a Product Manager (m/f/x), you will work alongside senior product leaders to drive the development and continuous improvement of our ESG-focused solutions, taking ownership of a defined area within our Carbon Management solution suite - spanning Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF), Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and Decarbonization.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, UI/UX, and compliance experts—to ensure our products meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

The role is ideal for someone who combines product management experience with carbon methodology expertise and is ready to own complex decisions in a fast-evolving domain.

This position is based in Mannheim, Germany. We embrace a hybrid work model with three in-office days per week, offering a mix of face-to-face collaboration and remote flexibility.

Your Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a defined area within our Carbon Management solution suite and drive the development and continuous improvement of this area from discovery through delivery.
  • Translate complex methodological requirements into clear product direction.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across UI/UX, development, and delivery to bring product features from concept to release.
  • Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape and assess its implications for product strategy.
  • Gather and prioritize customer feedback and market insights to guide roadmap development.
  • Balance methodological rigor, customer usability, technical feasibility, and commercial impact in your product decisions.

Your Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience with a strong foundation in product management, product ownership, or a related product role.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS products, ideally in a regulated or regulation-driven industry; exposure to sustainability, ESG, or carbon management is a strong plus.
  • A strong product mindset, focused on building standardized, scalable solutions for recurring customer needs rather than bespoke solutions.
  • Comfortable working with data models, calculation logic, and software integrations, and discussing functional requirements and technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • A data-informed and collaborative approach, combining customer feedback, usage insights, market and regulatory developments, and translating complex topics into clear product requirements.
  • English fluency at C1 level; German is a strong plus. Domain knowledge in PCF, LCA, CCF, or Corporate Carbon Accounting is an additional plus.
