Job Overview
The After Sales Spares & Lifecycle Coordinator bridges customer site operations, technical engineering, and regional sales. This role manages end-to-end spare parts fulfillment, technical BOM cross-referencing, order logistics, and proactive lifecycle tracking (hardware EOL and software life cycle) for Optel across India and APAC markets.

Responsibilities 
  • Technical Verification & Quotations: Interpret engineering assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and field reports to issue accurate spare parts quotations for complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assemblies.
  • BOM & Field Intelligence Curation: Cross-reference project BOMs against installed machinery baselines ,analyze field technician reports to identify component wear, system health trends (in consultation with Tech support), upcoming maintenance cycles. Draft personalized technical proposals directly to customer-side site engineering heads.
APAC operations have their own OEMs e.g. Optel carton Tracker, OEM-TE, OEM Bottletracker, Optel Bottletracker… hence critical parts need to be custom curated based on the OEMs used in the project.
 
  • Quotes, Order Processing & Logistics: Work closely with the buyer team to get the updated quotes, Process purchase orders in ERP (SAP), generate sales order in ERP, and coordinate with Logistics teams (Incoterms, Certificate of Origin, customs clearance for APAC) to meet strict Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) targets.
  • Breakdown & Inventory Management: Fast-track urgent "Line-Stop" emergency component dispatches by coordinating directly with Design, production, stores. Co-ordinate with Tech support, Field techs to understand the trend of spare parts consumption and give feedback to buyers to maintain optimal min-max inventory levels for wear parts (Optel and OEM) and critical spares.
  • Obsolescence & Automation Tracking: Working in close coordination with Tech support and Design teams to monitor component and software lifecycles across the installed equipments- tracking hardware End-of-Life (EOL) and Software End-of-Life cycle for PP, LM and OSM , sending reminders and follow up mails to customers to pro-actively inform them and send offers accordingly.
  • Equipment cards and OEM software versions: Working in close coordination with Design , Manufacturing and Field tech teams to see that equipment cards and warranty dates are updated.
  • Revenue Generation & Executive Reporting: Translate obsolescence risks and field service data (health check reports-part of SLA/AMC) into leads for upgrade sales, automation retrofits, and critical spares packages. Maintain a revenue pipeline and present quarterly lifecycle opportunities directly to the Sales Director/Operations Director.
Skills and Qualifications Required
  • Education: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–4 years in technical after-sales coordination, spares management, or field support for capital machinery (pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing preferred).
  • Software: Hands-on proficiency with ERP systems (SAP), advanced MS Excel, and CAD viewing tools (SolidWorks,eDrawings, AutoCAD).
  • Core Competencies: Technical drawing/BOM interpretation, cross-functional stakeholder management, and knowledge of domestic and cross-border (APAC) logistics.
