Security Supervisor / Officer in Charge (Unarmed)

As the Security Supervisor / Officer in Charge (Unarmed), you are a critical leader responsible for providing the highest level of customer service while ensuring the safety and security for your team, patrons, and vendors; as such, you will be expected to be lead a team of Security Staff. As the onsite Security Supervisor, your role demands a unique blend of leadership, adaptability, accountability and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of prior supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related customer service operations. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work professionally with onsite client personnel and leadership. 
  • Must have a Valid driver’s license and vehicle. 

Core Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Responsible for overseeing and supervising a team of 4-5. 
  • Instill a culture of excellence and professionalism within the security team.
  • Foster open communication and a positive working environment.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct On Job Training (OJT) for all New Hire Team Members assigned to your location.
  • Audit location daily logs and reports for accuracy. Forward any items of importance to your Manager for follow-up.  

Security Operations:

  • Formulate and implement security best practices that align with the unique needs of The Site.
  • Lead the security team in responding to critical incidents and emergencies.
  • Maintain updated schedules in Curo Shift for your assigned location. 
  • Ensure open positions on the schedule are filled when Team Members request PTO, sick leave, etc. 
  • Find replacement team members for emergency call-outs that occur Monday through Friday at your location. 
  • Review, Correct, and Approve timecards for your locations Team Members to be processed for payroll. 
  • Fill call-outs for your site. If assistance is needed, work with SOC to fill shifts and or callouts. 

Flexible Scheduling:

  • Develop flexible and efficient staffing schedules to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Consider peak hours, special events, and seasonal variations when creating schedules.
  • Adjust staffing levels and own schedule based on real-time needs and emerging situations.

Conflict Resolution and Adaptability:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for conflict resolution within the security team.
  • Mediate disputes and address security-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in responding to dynamic security challenges which may require working extended hours on short notice and/or responding to situations off hours.
  • Maintain composure and effectiveness in high-pressure situations.

Uniform and Appearance Standard:

  • The Security Supervisor / Officer in Charge (Unarmed) is expected to report to duty in the required company uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times while on duty. As the site supervisor, the OIC is expected to set the appearance, bearing, and conduct standard for assigned personnel. Uniform condition, grooming, and overall presentation must reflect a level of professionalism consistent with operations and leadership presence.
