Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in audit and Business Setup operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on accounting experience and a good understanding of financial processes within a UAE Business Setup, company formation, or corporate services environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Perform bank, customer, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle invoicing, payment processing, receipts, and expense recording.
- Monitor receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing financial schedules, working papers, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit queries.
- Review financial transactions and identify discrepancies or control issues.
- Maintain proper financial records and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
- Support VAT and Corporate Tax-related accounting and documentation.
- Work closely with the Business Setup team to ensure accurate recording of company formation, licensing, government service, and related transactions.
- Reconcile client accounts and ensure proper allocation of payments and service charges.
- Review revenue and expenses related to Business Setup services.
- Assist in preparing financial reports related to Business Setup operations.
- Ensure all financial documents are properly maintained and available for audit purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 1 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
- Previous audit experience is required.
- Experience in Business Setup, company formation, corporate services, or government services is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Experience with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience dealing with auditors and preparing audit documentation.
- Experience in a Business Setup / Corporate Services company.
- Previous experience in an audit firm.
- UAE accounting experience.
- ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of company formation and government-related service transactions is an advantage.
