Position Description

The Counselor provides direct counseling and case management services to patients, consisting of individual, and group services, including assessment, individualized treatment plans, counseling and aftercare services. The Counselor will adhere to the vision and mission of the Company.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain caseload per State Regulations
Assures incoming patients have psychosocial assessment and a interpretive summary according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
Completes, with patient participation, a Preliminary Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual.
Completes a Treatment Plan Review and update for each patient after completion of the Comprehensive Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
Prepares an aftercare transition plan for all patients at the earliest possible time and to review prior to discharge
Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or similar

Masters Preferred

Must be CSAC or eligible for CSAC supervision
