As we expand our operations to Manila, we are seeking talented professionals at multiple levels to join our Interior Design and Technical Design teams. Our Manila team will work closely with colleagues across OBMI’s global studios, contributing to international hospitality, resort, mixed-use, and destination projects.

• Project Technical Designer – Interior Design | 5–8 years of experience

About the opportunities

Interior Design

Our Interior Design team shapes the creative vision and experience of each project, developing concepts that respond to place, culture, client vision, and the unique character of each destination.

Depending on your level of experience, you may contribute to or lead design concepts and narratives, design development, FF&E and material selections, specifications, presentations, documentation, client engagement, and multidisciplinary coordination.

At senior levels, responsibilities expand to include leading project teams, mentoring designers, managing client relationships, driving design excellence, and contributing to the creative and strategic direction of the Interior Design practice.

Technical Design

Our Technical Design team plays an essential role in translating creative concepts into coordinated, build-ready solutions while protecting the integrity of the original design vision.

Depending on your level of experience, you may develop or lead technical documentation and drawing packages, detailed design, Revit/BIM models, joinery and millwork detailing, multidisciplinary coordination, QA/QC, and construction support.

At senior levels, responsibilities include leading technical teams and complex project packages, overseeing BIM and documentation workflows, coordinating across disciplines, resolving technical challenges, and maintaining OBMI’s standards for accuracy, constructability, and quality.

What you’ll do

Depending on your discipline and level of experience, you will:

• Contribute to or lead high-quality interior design and technical solutions across hospitality, resort, mixed-use, and destination projects
• Work across project phases from concept and design development through documentation and construction support
• Collaborate with designers, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and project managers across multidisciplinary teams
• Help translate project narratives and design intent into thoughtful, coordinated, and executable solutions
• Develop and review design presentations, drawings, specifications, models, material selections, and other project deliverables relevant to your discipline
• Maintain strong design, technical, documentation, and quality standards throughout project delivery
• Coordinate project requirements, schedules, deliverables, and priorities with project teams
• Participate in design, documentation, and QA/QC reviews to ensure work aligns with OBMI standards and client expectations
• Support or lead teams based on your level of experience, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to developing designers
• Stay informed on emerging design trends, materials, technologies, sustainable practices, and digital delivery methods

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline
• Relevant professional experience aligned with the level of the position
• Experience working on luxury hospitality, resort, large-scale, or destination-driven projects
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams
• An understanding of project scope, schedules, deliverables, and quality expectations
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and relevant industry standards
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• A passion for design excellence, quality, innovation, and continuous learning

For Interior Design opportunities, we are particularly interested in experience with:

• Concept and design development
• Design narratives and storytelling
• FF&E, materials, finishes, and specifications
• Sketching, 3D modeling, presentations, and visual communication
• AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Client presentations and design coordination, particularly at Lead and Director levels
• Leading and mentoring design teams at more senior levels

For Technical Design opportunities, we are particularly interested in experience with:

• Technical documentation and detailed design
• Revit, BIM 360, and AutoCAD
• BIM/model coordination and multidisciplinary coordination
• Joinery, millwork, bespoke furniture, finishes, and interior construction detailing
• Building codes, accessibility requirements, operator guidelines, and QA/QC
• Translating design concepts into coordinated, buildable technical solutions
• Leading technical teams and documentation packages at more senior levels
