Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Dining Room Coordinator to lead meal service operations and ensure a smooth, respectful, and dignified dining experience for our residents. This supervisory role includes coordinating mealtime logistics, supporting dietary aides and staff, and directly assisting with feeding residents when needed. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who demonstrates strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily meal service in resident dining areas to ensure timely, smooth, and respectful delivery
Supervise dietary aides and meal servers during breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts
Collaborate with dietary and nursing teams to ensure residents' individual dietary needs are met
Assist residents with feeding, including those with texture-modified diets or special needs
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance in the dining environment
Support onboarding and training of new dining staff
Ensure accurate tray service and proper documentation of resident dietary support
Address concerns promptly and respectfully to support a positive dining experience
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification – Pennsylvania license required
Previous experience in long-term care or healthcare food service preferred
Proven leadership ability or supervisory experience
Strong interpersonal skills with a resident-first approach
Knowledge of dietary modifications and safe feeding practices
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
