CLASSTIME Academic Support Teacher
About the Role:
Novella Education Group Inc. is looking for a passionate and dedicated CLASSTIME Academic Support Teacher to support student-athletes with their academic responsibilities. CLASSTIME provides convenient, after-school academic support for students in grades 5 through high school. Teachers staff a designated CLASSTIME room at the sports facility on school nights during the 4:00–8:00 PM window, helping students complete homework, stay on top of their grades, and develop stronger academic habits before they get on the court and head home.

Responsibilities:
- Staff and supervise the designated CLASSTIME study hall environment.
- Support students through high school with homework and academic responsibilities.
- Help students prioritize assignments and manage their academic workload.
- Help students stay on top of their grades and complete assignments.
- Provide guidance with organization, planning, time management, and study skills.
- Help students develop effective academic habits and routines.
- Provide executive-functioning support and accountability.
- Monitor student attendance, participation, and progress.
- Track student usage and communicate relevant concerns to the Novella Prep program manager.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with other CLASSTIME teachers.
- Follow Novella Prep's academic methodology and program expectations.
- When needed, provide structured support through CLASSTIME ONLINE.
Location & Schedule:

The anticipated schedule is primarily school nights between 4:00–8:00 PM, with exact hours based on program needs. Some weekend hours may also be available. Teachers may be scheduled on a rotational basis across CLASSTIME locations when additional coverage is needed and locations are within a reasonable commuting distance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education; Master's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in tutoring, academic intervention, classroom instruction, or similar academic support preferred.
- Strong knowledge of K-12 curriculum and differentiated instruction strategies.
- Valid teaching certification or licensure preferred or required per state guidelines.
- Experience supporting students with executive functioning, organization, or learning differences is a plus.
- Special educators are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and student-centered approach to teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented educational environment.
- Ability to reliably commute to the assigned CLASSTIME™ location.
