About this role
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) based from our Charlotte, NC OR Columbia, SC location. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
- Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
- Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
- Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
- Current AWS CWI with Structural or Bridge Experience
- NDT Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Shearwave a plus
