About the Position
We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Physical Therapy Technician to join our outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic. The PT Tech will work closely with our physical therapists and patients to support treatment sessions, maintain an organized clinic environment, and provide an exceptional patient experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and learning more about a career in physical therapy or healthcare.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises.
  • Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and between patient appointments.
  • Assist with modalities and other treatments as directed and within the scope of training and
  • applicable regulations.
  • Monitor patients during exercises and promptly communicate concerns to the physical therapist.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment areas between patients.
  • Help with patient flow, including preparing patients for treatment and assisting with clinic turnover.
  • Stock and organize supplies and equipment.
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Assist with basic administrative or front-office tasks as needed.
  • Follow clinic policies, safety procedures, and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists and other clinic staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous healthcare, fitness, sports medicine, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Interest in physical therapy, rehabilitation, exercise science, athletic training, or a related field is a plus.
  • Comfortable working directly with patients and providing hands-on assistance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to multitask in a busy outpatient clinic environment.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and assisting with physical activities throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to follow instructions from licensed clinical staff and recognize when a patient needs additional assistance.
