Main Duties & Responsibilities
About the Role:
We are looking for a dependable and quality-focused Backup Lead Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support daily production operations, inspect and package products, assist with training team members, and step into Lead Operator responsibilities when needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility and develop their leadership skills.
Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday 5:50pm - 6:00am
What You'll Do:
- Visually inspect and package products according to documented specifications and customer requirements
- Support the Production Supervisor and serve as backup to the Lead Operator as needed
- Help coordinate daily production activities and support the production team
- Complete production records and required paperwork accurately
- Track and record scrap
- Identify and communicate quality concerns, defects, and production issues to the supervisor
- Perform sub-assembly operations
- Assist with training and supporting new operators
- Follow established production processes, procedures, and ISO Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
- Support workplace safety, 5S, quality, and plant cleanliness expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position works onsite in a controlled manufacturing environment. Employees are required to follow established safety and quality procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include lab coats, hair nets, and gloves.
The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and regularly walk, bend, stoop, grip, and grasp. Employees must also have the manual dexterity needed to handle, sort, assemble, and package small parts and be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
On-Site: This role is required to be on-site 3 or 4 days at the Denver, CO location.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or injection molding experience preferred
- Experience working in an ISO-controlled manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, and visual work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work effectively with others and provide guidance and support to team members
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Compensation
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00.
Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
